Nelayan Indonesia di Kapal Korea

10 Indonesian Fisherman jump ship and escaped the ship 'Sky 75' at Nelson Port, New Zealand.

At Nelson they were accompanied by a fellow Indonesian residing in Nelson which assisted the 10 fishermen during their stay in Nelson and also when interviewed by the Department of Labour NZ. (read more)

Tidak kuat menerima perlakuan buruk, akhirnya 10 orang ABK asal Indonesia melarikan diri. Mereka yang kabur itu berasal dari Indramayu, Jawa Barat. Mereka adalah Casmin, Jaya Wangsa, Kadi, Mulyadi, Maskuri, Kadmin, Madyami, Koni, Subekam Gunawan dan Suwarna.

10 WNI ini melaporkan masalahnya kepada pihak kepolisian Selandia Baru. Kemudian, kepolisian setempat menindaklanjuti dengan melaporkan kepada pihak KBRI Wellington, New Zealand (NZ) Imigration Service, Labour Departemen of New Zealand dan NZ Maritime Union. (read more)

Crew will not jump ship, embassy says The remaining crew members on the fishing vessel Sky 75 will keep working, because their conditions have improved since 10 crew jumped ship in Nelson last week, the Indonesian Embassy says.

The men fled the Korean-flagged ship last Wednesday and turned themselves into police a day later, claiming they had been physically and verbally abused. They have since been flown back to Indonesia. (read more)
